Lacanau has the chance to offer something for everyone

Lacanau is located in the south-western corner of France, 45 minutes from Bordeaux. Lacanau is well known for its Atlantic ocean, its nice miles of white sand beaches, waves to surf, wine testing and its unique man made lakes for waterski and wakeboard. The lakes are only 3 miles away from the ocean well known for its surf spot. Each year Lacanau welcomes a world cup stop of surf in August. But Lacanau also gather many other activities in an area of 5 km such as :

When people are not skiing, they can cruise the cosy beach town on mountains bikes within minutes of the lakes, shopping in the dozens of surf and clothing venues, and enjoying the ocean view from a relaxed restaurant setting overlooking Lacanau beach. And if they still have enough energy at the end of an active day, the nightlife at Lacanau beach is known to go on until sunrise. The region of Bordeaux, is a land of grand vineyards near luxurious seaside resorts. This region has a long and flavourful history. Bordeaux is known as a treasure cellar of France's grand dinner and dessert wines. Bordeaux vineyards have the mouth-watering names of Médoc, Pommerol, Graves, and St. Emilion in a fabled land of vineyard castles. So, in between your ski sets you will be able to only drive about 45m and all castles will be open to the public to make you taste their masterpiece of wine.
